About
Hi my name is Anne. I am a musician and teacher for people who want to build their music skills so they can play more of the music they love.
Music is a powerful global language that brings people together on a cultural and emotional level. Learning music has a long-term effect on your personal growth. Anyone can learn music.
After completing high school and then the Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, I embarked on a whirlwind freelance career as a working musician.
With the Windbags Wind Quintet I performed over 100 concerts a year for school children. We also supported Dire Straits in Sydney and got to hang out with the band after the show!
I had many amazing opportunities to travel and meet people and musicians from all walks of life. I toured outback Australia with an orchestra. I also played in the orchestra for professional productions of Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, Porgy and Bess (Broadway touring cast), John Denver Tour and the Bolshoi Ballet Australian tour.
I currently play with the Penrith Symphony Orchestra and my husband, guitarist Alan Plummer.
You don’t have to play in an orchestra to have amazing opportunities as a musician. You don’t need to be a particularly skilled musician to touch peoples’ lives and brighten their day, whether it’s around the campfire, in your living room with your kids or in a care home entertaining seniors. I am committed to helping you build your musical skills so you can have joy and bring joy to others.
